The SoMa Hyatt Hotel in downtown San Francisco has completed its 3,200 square foot refurbishment project. The health and fitness center and the guest rooms on the first two floors are part of a $70 million redevelopment plan to transform the Park Central Hotel into the SoMa Hyatt Hotel in downtown San Francisco. It is scheduled to be completed in January 2022.

BHDM Design is working on the reconstruction of the property, which is managed by Highgate Hotels. "In our first project with Highgate Hotel, BHDM Design helped to produce a narrative of fusion art, inspired by the San Francisco Art District," said Dan Mazzarini, Chief/Creative Director of BHDM Design. "We look at the media used by different artists to define the various parts of the user journey. Weaving and textiles influence check-in, bars and lounges highlight sculptures and ceramics, and digital media anchors our "game space", restaurants and buffet tables. There are hand-drawn sketches on it. Throughout public spaces and rooms, the concept of architectural “grid” is a main theme, embodied in the application of terrazzo floor to ceiling treatment, fabrics and carpets. As an additional bonus, we and the San Francisco University of the Arts Cooperate and entrust students and alumni throughout the hotel to create original works of art."

The upgraded fitness room is one of the largest in San Francisco, equipped with ultra-modern fitness equipment, including Life Fitness elliptical machines and treadmills, Peloton bicycles and TRX Pro suspension trainers. This facility is located on the third floor of the hotel and is open 24 hours a day for the convenience of guests during their stay.

The redevelopment of the hotel will provide 686 modern and oversized guest rooms and suites, including a variety of city and bay view rooms, 20 executive corner suites and two presidential suites.

The smart residence design of the guest rooms combines exquisite decoration and plenty of natural light to convey the ultimate urban leisure feeling. The spacious and bright bathroom offers ample counter space, walk-in shower, and Pharmacopia luxury bath and body products in San Francisco.
